Stop selling them oil. They'll feel it pretty fast. Then we'll have a surplus and can make home heating with oil cheaper.
You all remember that scene from the Beavis & Butthead Do America movie where Beavis keeps flicking a switch at the Hoover Dam cause hes um itchy and it turns off all the power to Las Vegas. I think I feel an itch coming on just point me to the switch that controls the power to the US. Its only most of the North Eastern states they wont notice 🤣

Theyre not doing anything to us. Im sure IF Trump tried to forcibly make Canada another state we wouldnt even need to ask for help from Russia, theyre still looking to win the cold war and Putin has made that very clear with Ukraine. He has told that last guy the US puts boots on the ground we're coming after you, then everyone got paranoid about nukes for a while.

The city didnt exactly make is doable for some people to get to a voting station. The sidewalks were horrible as usual, bus stops no better. I think only Mr West let people know they could get a free ride from their door if they needed it. I can bet the majority that didnt vote were elderly or disabled and COULDNT. I wouldnt have been able to had I had to rely on my mobility aid, which in this weather is a fat bike, a machine built for snow unlike scooters,wheelchairs, walkers, canes, crutches. Dont blame the people who didnt vote, blame the city that didnt let them.

The 1st person to say hey, Im changing the carbon tax, its going up but only on gasoline used for personal vehicles. Then take that tax and put it toward free better public transit and safer alternatives like bike lanes cars cant get in to. On top of that give seniors and disabled a big rebate on a bike, electric or not. They are afterall mobility aids too. They should also push for random retesting of drivers, a simple writted test when your card needs renewing to learn new rules and of course harsher punishments for forgetting driving is a privilige, like speeding, being impaired, driving while suspended and most of all seriously injuring or killing somebody with your vehicle. Any 1 of these people pops up and says any of this tomorrow they have my vote.

I cant wait to see this backfire on him. When company "A" has to pay 25% more on say lumber to make wooden tables and chairs, then they pass the cost to the US consumer and sales drop, they end up with a surplus of product they cant sell and big debt. Then they either go bankrupt and shut down or move to the country the lumber comes from leaving 500 jobs behind and starting 500 more where they move. Most we can do is sit here and say thanks for sending the jobs here Trump

What happenes to it being pushes back again to April 2nd? I only heard it from several sources through the week. Oh well whatever let him find out the hard way. I just hope making supplies more expensive for American manufacturers will drive them here or off to China. Wouldnt that be ironic, Trump thinks hes winning something by putting tariffs on countries exports and manufacturers run their operations to those countries to save cost.

Noel explain how Canada could never be self sufficient. We have everything we need. We have the biggest fresh water reserves in the world,plenty of lumber and food. I think what you mean is you could never live your desired lifestyle just on Canadas resources. We can even grow tropical foods here if we wanted. Only thing in our way is sharing within ourselves. New Brunswick has plenty of seafood, Alberta has tons of meats. Saskatchewan grows grains like crazy, northern Ontario is full of minerals. Oil reserves in Alberta, we'll have a lot more if we stopped selling it to the US over a million barrels a day. We're good without them, Canada can be self sufficient if we build it.
