What can you do about it?
Support the Daily Bread Food Bank by attending its Holiday Fundraising Party on November 29.
“This event is to create awareness about the Daily Bread Food Bank and the services it provides to those experiencing food insecurity during these challenging times,” explained a spokesperson. They added, “There will be door prizes, 50/50 draw tickets, a cash bar, and light appetizers. There will be artwork for sale, donated by DJ Madam Hair, who will also be providing music all evening.”
There will also be onsite food donation bins for guests to drop off canned food donations. “This is an opportunity to make a real impact in our city and help end hunger.”
There is also an opportunity to make a one-time donation or donate to the Daily Bread monthly, through the Daily Bread Food Bank website, here.
“Guests can expect a fun-filled evening to support those experiencing food insecurity during these challenging times. Our mission is to ensure no one faces barriers to accessing food in Toronto.”
The Daily Bread Food Bank Holiday Fundraising Party is happening November 29 at 7 p.m., at the Society Clubhouse, 967 College St. West, at Dovercourt. Admission is $10, payable to the venue.
