Shoppers in Toronto now have a wonderful, new, artisanal option for all of their holiday shopping.
The Yorkville Village Holiday Market Pop-Up and For The Love of Markets Pop-up Retail Store are currently open at Yorkville Village, 55 Avenue Road.
“The Yorkville Village Holiday Market Pop-Up is located around the oval, in the centre of Yorkville Village, while the For The Love of Markets Pop-up Retail Store is housed in a storefront on the lower level of the shopping centre, adjacent to the oval,” explained Meagan Madill, President, For The Love of Markets.
“Both locations are open from November 12 through December 23, Mondays to Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sundays from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.,” she added.
Both holiday markets are filled to the brim with one-of-a-kind gift ideas, festive flavours and holiday hosting essentials. Items on offer include jewellery, bath and beauty products, apparel and accessories, baby and kids’ toys, candles, artwork, seasonal décor, stationery and cards, specialty food and beverages and much more.
“For The Love of Markets was born during the pandemic, as my own event-planning business came to a standstill,” explained Madill. “Outdoor markets became so popular, and my team had the skills to take them to the next level, so that’s where we pivoted.”
Madill explained she is in touch with over 8000 vendors, artisans, and small business owners. “So, the Yorkville Village holiday markets will be constantly changing and evolving, with over 150 new vendors, and with merchandise rotating in and out all during the season. This makes it somewhere to come back to, for your holiday shopping. You will always find something new and exciting.”
All of the brands, makers and artisans at the markets are Canadian, for those looking to shop and support local.
