Is your car parked on a street that is a designated snow route?
You may want to move it after the city declared "major snowstorm conditions" Wednesday night that prohibited parking on snow routes as of 10 p.m.
The prohibition is for a 72-hour period to make way for plowing and snow removal, as the city and much of Ontario could see up to 35 centimetres of snow by Sunday.
Designated snow routes are primarily in the downtown Toronto core, are indicated with signage, and include all streetcar routes.
A list of snow routes and a map that shows the concentration of routes downtown is available online.
Vehicles found in violation could be ticketed, towed and impounded, the city warned, and the prohibition may be shortened or lengthened depending on how much snow needs to be removed.

"Road users should keep a safe distance from snow clearing vehicles, be patient and give city crews room to make our roads and sidewalks safe and accessible," the city said in a release. "Police, fire and paramedic services rely on clear roads to respond quickly to emergencies."
If your vehicle has been towed, you can call the Toronto Police Service non-emergency line at 416-808-2222 to locate it.
