Westbound Gardiner Expressway ramp closed due to vehicle collision

UPDATE: As of 12:35 p.m., the Gardiner Expressway off-ramp and previously closed Lower Sherbourne Street lanes have reopened.

A westbound Gardiner Expressway off-ramp, as well as a portion of Lower Sherbourne Street, have been closed as a result of a collision involving two vehicles. 

Toronto police said the crash occurred around 10:30 a.m. A light post was knocked down as a result of the collision. 

Police arrived on the scene shortly after the incident. In an update, police said one person was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The Gardiner off-ramp at Lower Sherbourne Street and Jarvis Street remains closed. Two lanes of the westbound Gardiner Expressway at Lower Sherbourne Street are also blocked off.
