A Toronto man who has been playing the lottery for 30 years is celebrating his first big win, the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation says.
Enzo Naccarato is $250,000 richer after winning the top prize with an Instant Diamond Deluxe scratch ticket.
“I was at the store when I thought to check my ticket. When I realized I had won $250,000, I was shocked,” said Naccarato, who works in marketing.
“I couldn’t believe it! I tucked my winning ticket into my pocket and headed home to process what had happened,” he told lottery staff while visiting the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to claim his winnings.
“I shared the good news with my family, and they didn’t believe me at first,” Naccarato said. “When I showed them my ticket, they were so happy for me."
“It feels amazing to be able to share this win with my children,” he added. “I’ll also consider travelling and will invest the rest for the future."
Instant Diamond Deluxe is $10 a play.
