Additional warming centres opened for "temporary surge capacity" due to extreme cold are now closed, the City of Toronto says.
All standard warming centres reportedly remain open with walk-ins available, while the surge sites at Jimmie Simpson Recreation Centre and Cecil Community Centre have closed.
The city opens surge sites when temperatures reach -5 C or when Environment Canada issues a winter weather event, according to the city's website.
Warming centres are pet friendly and offer resting spaces, meals, washroom facilities and referrals to emergency shelter.
The city currently has standard warming centres open in the downtown core at 55 John St., 81 Elizabeth St. and 136 Spadina Rd.
An interactive map showing the location of these facilities is available online.
