Looking for a romantic dinner spot to take your special someone on Valentine's Day?

OpenTable released its annual Top 100 Romantic Restaurants in Canada for 2025, and it gives a warm hug to 21 hot spots in Toronto.

The list was compiled by analyzing over 900,000 diner reviews and ratings, as well as demand for reservations and the percentage of reviews with the tag “romantic."

According to OpenTable data, 2024 Valentine’s Day dining increased by 27 per cent year-over-year. This year, a new consumer survey forecasts that 55 per cent of Ontarians are planning to dine at restaurants this Valentine’s Day.

Here are five of the highest rated "romantic" Toronto restaurants on the list ahead of Feb. 14.

Byblos Downtown

Eastern Mediterranean cuisine is the star of the show Byblos, which combines classic cooking techniques, traditional ingredients and modern cooking methods. You'll find their downtown location at 11 Duncan St.

Don Alfonso 1890

Awarded a Michelin Star in Toronto's inaugural Michelin Guide in 2022, Don Alfonso 1890 sits atop the Westin Harbour Castle at 1 Harbour Square, offering views of the city skyline and Toronto’s harbour from the 38th floor. Showcasing the flavours of the Amalfi coast, the restaurant's cuisine is characterized by its Mediterranean flare.

Scaramouche Restaurant

OpenTable editors call Scaramouche one of Toronto’s more timeless fine-dining destinations. With skyline views and classic French dishes, the restaurant has been a go-to place for special-occasion meals since 1980. It is located at 1 Benvenuto Place, just off Avenue Road south of St. Clair.

Bar Isabel

Nestled between Toronto's Little Italy and Little Portugal, Bar Isabel is a sought-after destination thanks to its tavern ambiance and tapas. Easy-to-share snacks, Spanish wine and buzzy vibes encourage diners to linger at the cozy locale at 797 College St.
