The popular Italian restaurant Piano Piano is set to open its newest location on Bloor Street, directly beside Toronto's beloved Paradise Theatre.
Piano Piano announced the opening on social media on Thursday. The restaurant shared a video of the Paradise Theatre marquee lit with the news of Piano Piano opening in the Bloordale neighbourhood on Saturday, Feb. 8.
Famed for its Italian staples including pizza, pasta and veal or eggplant Parmesan, Piano Piano is already a favourite of many locals.
The new location on Bloor Street will be Piano Piano's fifth. There are already three other Piano Piano restaurants across Toronto — on Colborne Street, Harbord Street and Mount Pleasant Road. Piano Piano also has one location in Oakville, located on Thomas Street.
Piano Piano on Bloor Street is already taking lunch and dinner reservations online through OpenTable.
The new location can be found at 1006 Bloor St. W.
The eatery will serve lunch daily from noon until 5 p.m. Dinner will be served Sunday to Wednesday from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., and Thursday to Saturday from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. For diners looking for a deal, the location's happy hour runs from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Osteria Rialto, the Italian restaurant that previously abutted the Paradise Theatre, announced it was closing last summer.
