A popular midtown restaurant is poised to open a new location on Roncesvalles Avenue.
Prep work is ongoing at a new location of Darna, a Middle Eastern restaurant that has been operating in Bayview Village for several years.
TorontoToday reached out to Darna to ask about its west end expansion plans and when the location will open, but did not receive a response.
A reporter took a peek through the (mostly) papered-up windows on Wednesday afternoon and spotted stacked tables and packages of laundered napkins, signalling the restaurant could be welcoming diners sooner rather than later.
A knock on the door was unsuccessful but it was perhaps drowned out by what sounded like a table saw operating inside.
Darna’s Bayview Avenue location serves four kinds of shakshuka, kebabs, braised stews and Middle Eastern dips like hummus, labneh and mutabal.
