The Roundhouse Winter Craft Beer Fest, hosted by Steam Whistle Brewing, is returning to Toronto in a few weeks.
Over 40 craft beverage vendors will be showcased on Feb. 22 at Roundhouse Park, right next to the Rogers Centre. The vendors include breweries, wineries, distilleries, cideries and non-alcoholic producers from across the province.
Event organizers have asked attendees to show up wearing retro ski gear, flannel or winter attire to embrace the “après-ski spirit,” according to a Steam Whistle Brewing news release.
"The Roundhouse Winter Craft Beer Fest was the only outdoor event of its kind when we had our first festival in 2014. It’s a celebration of both great beer and Canadian Winters” Greg Taylor, CEO of Steam Whistle, said in a statement.
“Every year we get to bring the province’s best local beer, cider and spirits together to party in the cold wearing neon retro ski gear, what more could you ask for?" he added.
Live music and a DJ-led dance party will also be included in the festival, as well as several interactive experiences.
Sticking to the après-ski atmosphere, there will be outdoor campfires and a Retro Ski Gear Contest to award the best vintage-inspired outfits.
The festival will only be showcasing beers from breweries in Ontario that are independently owned and operated.
Drink vouchers will be priced at $3 per 5 oz pours.Five local food trucks will also be on-site and ready to offer a variety of foods.
The event runs from noon to 6 p.m. on Feb. 22, with an early entry option starting at 11 a.m.
Tickets are available online.
