Schools in Toronto and across the Greater Toronto Area have closed today after a snowstorm Wednesday night covered the area with up to 20 centimetres of snow.
Both the Toronto District School Board (TDSB) and the Toronto Catholic District School Board (TCDSB) said there will be no classes held on-site on Thursday because of the winter storm.
Transportation to and from school has also been halted today.
All TDSB schools and sites are closed today due to the weather forecast. In addition, Friday, February 14, is PA Day for all students, and Monday, February 17, is Family Day. Enjoy your first #SnowDay of the year, and we'll see you on Tuesday! pic.twitter.com/nTsz1xiDCn

Many child care centres and day cares have cancelled programming on Thursday as a result of the snow.
In both the public and Catholic school boards, students will not return to school on Friday, as it is a PA Day.
Monday is Family Day, meaning classes for students will not run during the public holiday.
Due to the winter storm and impact on the city, all schools are closed for in-person learning.
