Toronto police are searching for a man accused of assaulting a victim at a stoplight in the Yonge Street and Dundas Street East area.
Authorities said the incident occurred on Oct. 18.
As the woman walked through the Yonge-Dundas area, she realized the suspect was following her.
When she paused in front of a stoplight, police said she was sexually assaulted by the suspect. He then fled the scene.
The Toronto Police Service (TPS) said it was made aware of the incident the following day, Oct. 19.
Police asked the public for help identifying the suspect on Sunday evening.
TPS said the suspect is male, five-foot-seven with a medium build and black facial hair. He was seen wearing a red jacket, a white and black baseball hat and blue pants.
Authorities specified a sexual assault is "any form of unwanted sexual contact," including kissing, grabbing, oral sex and penetration.
