Police say a woman has been transported to hospital after she was stabbed Tuesday morning.
The incident took place at around 10:50 a.m. inside a residence in the Dundas Street East and George Street area.
The Toronto Police Service said officers from 51 Division responded to the call and located a woman with an apparent stab wound.
A male suspect had fled the area on foot, police said.
Toronto Paramedic Services were on the scene and the victim was transported to hospital.
In an update, police said the female victim has non-life-threatening injuries.
A description of the suspect has not yet been released.
