The Toronto Police Service (TPS) says two people, including a minor, have been arrested in an investigation that turned up a loaded handgun and a large amount of cash.
Police say a man and a youth were involved in trafficking illicit drugs throughout the city and were in possession of an illegal firearm.
On Tuesday, members of the Toronto Police Drug Squad executed a search warrant at a residence in an undisclosed location.
Officers found a loaded Glock 43 semiautomatic handgun, 1,670 grams of cocaine and 40 grams of crack cocaine, according to a TPS news release.
Police said they also recovered about 12 grams of fentanyl and 133 grams of psilocybin.
Also in the pair's possession was $7,590 Canadian and USD$100 in cash, a taser, three cell phones, packaging and digital scales.
Michael-Ryan Bond, 37, of Toronto, faces four firearms charges, and four counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking.
He is also charged with being in possession of the proceeds of crime over $5,000.
A male youth, 17, of Toronto, faces the same charges and one additional firearms charge.
Both were scheduled to appear at the Toronto Regional Bail Centre on Wednesday.
The 17-year-old's name cannot be published under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
None of the allegations have been tested in court and the accused are considered innocent until proven guilty.
