Police seek suspect in stabbing at Yonge St. and Charles St. E.

The stabbing victim was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries

Toronto police are searching for a suspect in connection to a stabbing in the Yonge Street and Charles Street East area on Monday afternoon. 

The suspect was allegedly walking with a friend when he approached the victim and stabbed them with an unidentified weapon. 

Police said the suspect then fled northbound on Yonge Street into a nearby TTC station. 

The victim, who has not been identified, was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. 

An image of the suspect has been released by police. He is described as being between 5'5" and 5'9" with a thin build. He was last seen wearing a white zip-up hooded sweater, beige pants, black shoes, a black head covering and a black cross body bag.
