Police say this vehicle is wanted in connection with a hit-and-run in which an elderly pedestrian suffered life-threatening injuries.

Toronto police are investigating three separate incidents of a pedestrian being struck by a vehicle in recent days.

One collision proved fatal while in two others the victims suffered critical injuries.

Two of the incidents were hit-and-runs in which police were still trying to locate the drivers.

The Toronto Police Service (TPS) says on Sunday at 1:37 a.m., police received a report of a pedestrian struck in the Victoria Park Avenue and McNicoll Avenue area.

Police say a vehicle headed southbound on Victoria Park about 150 metres north of McNicoll collided with a 49-year-old male pedestrian who was in the southbound curb lane.

Police say the vehicle fled the scene and the pedestrian was transported to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

On Thursday, Jan. 9 at around 2:12 p.m., police responded to a collision in the Warden Avenue and Eglinton Avenue East area.

Police say a grey Volkswagen Atlas travelling on Ashtonbee Road, east of Warden Avenue, turned into a shopping plaza.

As the vehicle was travelling through the parking lot, it struck an elderly woman before fleeing the scene.

The victim was transported to hospital with life-threatening injuries, police said in a news release.

Highway off-ramp

Also on Thursday at around 6:50 a.m., police responded to a collision involving a pedestrian struck by a vehicle near a highway off-ramp.

Police say a 67-year-old female was driving a grey 2018 Hyundai Santa Fe on the westbound Highway 401 off-ramp at Keele Street.

A 34-year-old male pedestrian was crossing Keele north of the off-ramp

The vehicle made a right turn northbound on Keele Street and struck the pedestrian.

The man suffered critical injuries and was transported to hospital where he was later pronounced deceased, police said.

An investigation is ongoing and police were asking local residents, businesses and drivers who may have security or dash camera footage of the area or incident to call police at 416-808-1900, or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 416-222-TIPS (8477) or www.222tips.com.
