The Toronto Police Service (TPS) has released the name and photograph of the victim involved in a fatal attack in The Annex last weekend.
Police said the incident is the city's first homicide of 2025.
Authorities are currently searching for three people in connection to the case.
On Sunday, shortly after 12:30 a.m., police responded to a call about a wounded man in the area of Bloor Street West and Madison Avenue, near Spadina Avenue.
Police said the victim, 27-year-old Darapheakdey "Daral" Sovann, was located with severe injuries and first aid was administered at the scene.
He was transported to the hospital, where he later died as a result of his injuries.
On Tuesday, TPS said Sovann is a Toronto resident.
Police have yet to release more information about the homicide, including how Sovann was wounded.
