Toronto police have released a new image of a suspect wanted in connection to a high-profile gunfight at a Queen Street West recording studio in November 2024.

Since the shooting, the Toronto Police Service (TPS) has arrested more than 35 people in connection to the incident.

Earlier this month, TPS released dramatic video from inside the recording studio during the gang-affiliated shooting on Nov. 11, 2024.

The video shows men brandishing handguns and automatic weapons, as well as a man taking cover behind an open door while firing bursts from a sub-machine gun.

On Wednesday, police said they are searching for a new suspect who was allegedly in possession of a firearm on the night of the melee.

TPS released a photo and description of the man, who authorities said has shoulder-length braids and a goatee. The photo provided by police shows the unnamed suspect wearing a surgical mask and a Los Angeles Dodgers baseball cap.

Police are still searching for several other suspects in the ongoing investigation.

Queen Street West shooting details

November's gunfight began when a group of individuals opened fire on a recording studio at 1196 Queen St. W., near Dufferin Street.

Police reported another group inside the studio returned the gunfire. The initial attackers sheltered behind an unmarked police vehicle while plainclothes officers were inside. The car was struck by several bullets, though the officers were unharmed.

TPS has not named either of the groups involved in the shooting but has called the incident “a rival gang situation."

No one was struck during the exchange of gunfire. All the weapons seized by police were traced back to the United States.

“It’s nothing short of a miracle that no one was injured or killed, including innocent civilians or police officers,” Insp. Paul Krawczyk during a press conference this month.

In the aftermath of the shootout, police initially arrested 23 people and seized 16 firearms. One of those arrested, one person was also charged in connection to a homicide in south Etobicoke in April 2024.

Police later arrested and charged an additional 14 people and said nine others were still being sought.

Anyone with information has been asked to contact police at 416-808-2510 or to submit an anonymous tip through Crime Stoppers online or at 416-222-TIPS (8477).
