A triple shooting at Spadina Avenue and Queen Street West early Saturday morning sent three people to hospital, with one person in critical condition, according to the Toronto Police Service (TPS).
The shooting occurred around 5:20 a.m. in an after hours bar.
TPS Duty Insp. Phillip Sinclair told reporters at the scene Saturday morning that three men were shot in the bar.
Two of the injured men are bar employees. The third is the shooting suspect, Sinclair said. Authorities did not specify which person sustained life-threatening injuries.
Police have not publicly identified the three wounded men but said there was an "altercation" between them in the bar.
One person has been arrested.
Two firearms were recovered at the scene, police said.
Sinclair said there is currently no concern for public safety.
Police are still investigating. TPS has asked any potential witnesses to the shooting to come forward and speak to police.
The southbound lanes of Spadina Avenue are closed at Sullivan Street to accommodate the ongoing police investigation.
Anyone with information in the case has been asked to contact police at 416-808-7400 or to submit an anonymous tip through Crime Stoppers at 416-222-TIPS (8477) or www.222tips.com.
