The Toronto Police Service (TPS) says it has made an arrest in a North York homicide investigation.

Police say victim Mariano De-Marco, 69, was found dead at around 4 a.m. on Dec. 9 outside a residence in the area of Fairholme Avenue and Shermount Avenue.

That's near Allen Road and Lawrence Avenue West.

De-Marco had been shot and was pronounced deceased at the scene, the TPS said in a news release.

On Tuesday, Mauricio Sosa Guillen, 51, of Toronto, was arrested and charged with first degree murder.

He was scheduled to appear in court at the Toronto Regional Bail Centre on Finch Avenue West.

None of the allegations have been tested in court and Guillen is considered innocent until proven guilty.
