The Toronto Police Service (TPS) on Wednesday began searching for a mother accused of abducting her child after the girl's father was awarded full custody.
TPS said there have been no updates on the mother and daughter's whereabouts as of Thursday.
Police said they are concerned for the safety of the 7-year-old child.
"Anyone with information on their whereabouts is urged to contact police immediately," said TPS police media relations officer Const. Laura Brabant.
The court order awarding full custody to the child's father was issued on Monday.
Authorities said the woman is aware of the order but has been actively avoiding surrendering the child.
Investigators believe the accused may be driving a white 2011 Lexus hatchback with the Ontario license plate BLTE 430.
The child, named Madeline, is described as being 4'2" tall with a thin build and weighing about 62 pounds.
Mother Camille Yeung, 41, of Toronto is wanted on a nationwide warrant for abduction by a parent in violation of a custody order.
Yeung is described as being 5'4" tall and weighing 115 pounds with a thin build, brown shoulder length hair and brown eyes.
Anyone with information in the case has been asked to contact police at 416-808-7400 or to submit an anonymous tip through Crime Stoppers at 416-222-TIPS (8477) or www.222tips.com.
