Daryl Michael Boyd, 35, faces firearms and breach of recognizance charges.

Toronto police say they have arrested a man wanted in a firearms investigation in the Danforth Avenue and Woodbine Avenue area.

Toronto Police Service (TPS) said on Feb. 7 at around 3 p.m. they responded to a call for a person with a gun.

It is alleged that after making arrangements to meet up, the suspect showed the victim what appeared to be a firearm. The suspect then fled the area, police said.

Daryl Michael Boyd, 35, of Toronto was arrested the next day and has been charged with carrying a concealed weapon, carrying a dangerous weapon and two counts of breach of recognizance, police said in a release.

None of the allegations have been tested in court and Boyd is considered innocent until proven guilty.
