Indigenous regalia stolen in downtown Toronto vehicle break-in

Police say a suitcase containing the regalia was stolen from a vehicle near Bay Street and Edward Street on Saturday

A suitcase containing fully beaded Anishinaabe regalia was stolen in a downtown vehicle break-in on the weekend.

The Toronto Police Service (TPS) says on Saturday, Jan. 11, at around 2:30 a.m., the victim parked his vehicle in the Bay Street and Edward Street area.

Police say the vehicle was subsequently broken into, and the victim's property was stolen.

Police did not say exactly when the theft occurred.
