3 suspects kidnap owner of gold store in Dundas St. E. robbery: police

Police say the suspects kidnapped the owner of a gold bullion store and 'ransacked' the location in search of gold

The Toronto Police Service (TPS) is on the hunt for three suspects connected to the robbery of a gold store in the Dundas Street East and Bond Street area. 

Police said the suspects, all male, kidnapped the owner of a gold bullion store from another location in Toronto and returned him to his store.

The men allegedly entered the store with the victim and "ransacked" the location in search of gold. 

TPS reported the suspects stole a "large quantity" of gold before fleeing the scene. 

The store owner sustained minor injuries during the robbery. He was left at the store after the suspects fled. 

A description of the suspects has yet to be released by police. 

Members of the TPS' Hold Up Squad, a team working to prevent robberies and capture violent and armed criminals, is currently investigating the theft.
