The Toronto Police Service (TPS) on Saturday announced the arrest of a man in connection to two assaults in the Dundas Street West and Elizabeth Street area.

Police said the suspect, 25-year-old N'Da Sylvain Kouaido, approached a vehicle near the intersection around 7:55 p.m. on Thursday.

Kouaido allegedly opened the driver's door and assaulted a person, who was eventually able to close the door and drive away.

Shortly after, around 8 a.m., police said Kouaido approached a second victim in a similar circumstance.

Kouaido allegedly approached the victim's vehicle, opened the driver's door and assaulted the victim. Again, police said the victim was able to close their door and drive away.

Neither victim required medical attention.

The suspect and two victims are not known to each other but investigators believe there may be other victims.

Kouaido was arrested in the area on Thursday.

He has been charged with two counts of assault and one count of mischief.

TPS released a photo of Kouaido on Saturday.
