UPDATE:

The Toronto Police Service has released the name of the victim in a homicide investigation downtown.

On Thursday, Nov. 14 at around 12:45 a.m., police responded to a double stabbing in the Fort York Boulevard and Dan Leckie Way area.

Police said two men got into an argument inside an apartment and stabbed each other.

Life saving measures were performed and the men were transported to hospital where one later died of his injuries.

The second man remains in hospital, police said.

The victim has been identified as Sean Collins, 34, of Toronto.

Brian Kelneric, 33, of Toronto was arrested and charged with second degree murder.

He appeared remotely in court at the Toronto Regional Bail Centre on Friday.

None of the allegations have been tested in court and Kelneric is considered innocent unless proven guilty.

One man is dead and another man sustained serious injuries in a double stabbing at a downtown condominium early Thursday morning, police reported. 

Toronto Police Operations said the incident occurred just before 1 a.m. at Fort York Boulevard and Dan Leckie Way. 

Authorities received reports of two men arguing. Both men involved then stabbed each other. 

The two men were transported to hospital with "life threatening" injuries, police said. 

One of the men was pronounced dead. The other sustained serious injuries and remains in hospital. 

Police have not identified either of the men publicly. The cause of the argument has not been revealed. 

During a press conference on Thursday, Detective Sergeant Brandon Price said police and paramedics provided first aid to both men inside the downtown condo. 

The surviving victim remains in critical condition, he said. 

Authorities believe the two men were known to each other. 

Price said police are not searching for additional suspects and there is no risk to the public. 

The investigation is ongoing.
