The parade is expected to last about two and a half hours.

If the hustle and bustle of today's Santa Claus Parade is too much for you, for the first time ever you can watch the event on YouTube.

The 120th annual parade starts at 12:30 p.m. at Christie Pits and will wind its way through downtown, ending at Front and Jarvis streets. The celebration is expected to last about two and a half hours and draw up to 750,000 spectators.

The longstanding holiday spectacle — started in 1905 and deemed to be the oldest Santa Claus parade in the world — says it is facing financial challenges but several levels of government have pledged to help.

The parade has also set up a GoFundMe page, which as of the morning of Sunday's parade had reached $130,000 of its $250,000 goal.

You can watch the YouTube livestream at this link.

If you do decide to step out to catch a glimpse of Santa and the parade floats, here's more info on the route.
