Book lovers and curious browsers are flipping through the pages at Trinity College's annual book sale this week.

The 47th Friends of the Library Book Sale started Wednesday and continues to this Sunday, Oct. 27.

The sale takes place every October in Seeley Hall at Trinity College and offers more than 50,000 books, as well as CDs and DVDs.

Funds raised through the sale are used by the Friends to support projects and activities at the John W. Graham Library and to ensure the library continues to play an "essential role in the life of the students at the college", book sale organizers said in a release.

"Over the course of the year, our dedicated volunteers carefully sort thousands of donated books into 70 academic and popular categories."

"At the sale you can find cookbooks, art books, musical scores, biographies, children’s books, popular and classic literature, travel guides, academic monographs from a variety of disciplines, theology, religion, and many other categories."

"There is a significant selection of rare and unique items, as well as special editions."
