Toronto's Kingsley Anin has won $1 million in an Encore draw.

A Toronto retiree is celebrating his second big lottery windfall in as many years — although his most recent jackpot is 10 times sweeter.

Kingsley Anin, a father of three, matched all seven Encore numbers in exact order in the Dec. 19, 2024 daily grand draw to win $1 million.

No stranger to lotto victory, in 2022 Anin won $100,000 with Encore, according to the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corp.

Anin said he was at the store when he scanned his ticket to "see how I did.”

“When I saw the prize amount, I nearly passed out!" he told OLG staff in Toronto. "My heart was racing and all I could think was, ‘This is unreal! There is no way I just won $1 million!’ It was an incredible moment.”

“I have yet to share the news of this remarkable blessing,” said Anin. “I’ve kept it a secret as long as I could. Saying this prize is life-changing would be an understatement. I’m just speechless.”

When asked what comes next, Anin said, “I’m grateful to have been blessed by this prize, and I plan to share it with the world.”

The winning ticket was purchased at a Petro-Canada on Jane Street in North York.
