Toronto cinephiles are being invited to a celebration of the big screen at the 10th annual WideScreen Film and Music Video Festival this weekend at Cineplex's Scotiabank Theatre.
The festival opens with a film and movie industry yacht party and meet-and-greet on Thursday and Friday.
On Saturday there will be film and music video screenings and screenwriter networking from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. followed by an awards show from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.
An afterparty will be held at Dprtmnt on Adelaide Street.
Sunday features a Niagara Falls Tour and later a red carpet dinner gala at the Chelsea Hotel on Gerrard Street West.
The festival's guest of honour, American actor, producer and TV host Vivica A. Fox, will be there for red carpet photos.
The festival ends with a closing party at Lavelle on King Street West.
Tickets to the film festival start at $15, which gives attendees access to a two-hour block of short films and music videos. Also available are all-day passes. You can also get tickets for the yacht party, Niagara Falls tour and gala. Find tickets at this Eventbrite link.
