Here's the music Torontonians were listening to on Spotify in 2024

What music did Toronto listen to in 2024? The audio streaming service Spotify says, not surprisingly, Taylor Swift was our top artist and had the top album.

The U.S. singer who brought her Eras Tour to Rogers Centre for six shows last month was No. 1 with the album The Tortured Poets Department: The Anthology.

But the city's own Drake and The Weeknd were right up there with Toronto listeners. They were also Canada's top exported artists, ahead of Justin Bieber.

Spotify on Wednesday debuted its annual campaign and personalized user experience known as Wrapped, celebrating artists who made 2024 "the record-breaking, culture-making, fandom-shaking year that it was."

Spotify Wrapped gives listeners insights on their top songs and favourite artists, as well as the total number of minutes they've listened to tunes on the app.
