The Toronto International Music Video Festival has added new showcases this year for Canadian, micro-budget and music documentary videos

A multi-day event where filmmakers and artists showcase their music videos to a global audience returns to Toronto this weekend.

Now in its second year, the Toronto International Music Video Festival has added new showcases for Canadian, micro-budget and music documentary videos, complementing its official selection showcase and award nominated screenings.

"Our goal is to enhance the appreciation of music video art and facilitate networking among creatives, contributing to the growth of Toronto's art industry," the festival says on its website.

Screenings, educational panels and the award show all take place at Paradise Theatre on Bloor Street West near Dovercourt Road.

The festival will also offer free panel discussions on topics such as "Women X Film and Music" and "Anatomy of a Music Video".

A new TIMVF concert showcase will be held Friday, Nov. 8, at The Rec Room on Bremner Boulevard.

There will also be a networking afterparty at Offworld Bar, located at 739 Queen St. W., on Saturday, Nov. 9.

An all access weekend pass to the festival is $55. Access to individual events runs as low as $5, and some are even free. You can get tickets at https://filmfreeway.com/timvf/tickets.
