Canada's Walk of Fame is inducting some notable names this year, including the Toronto International Film Festival, retired golfer Mike Weir, rock band Our Lady Peace and more.
The 2025 Canada's Walk of Fame Induction Gala is taking place on June 14 at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre. Several extraordinary Canadians have been chosen to have their achievements and contributions recognized.
The inductees list this year also includes Isadore Sharp, founder of the Four Seasons hotel brand; Liona Boyd, five-time Juno award-winner, often referred to as the “First Lady of Guitar;" Dr. Tirone David, a pioneering cardiovascular surgeon; Dr. Samantha Nutt, champion of children’s wellness on the frontlines of global crises; and Tonya Williams, an award-winning actress, producer and advocate.
“The Toronto International Film Festival and Isadore Sharp have made lasting impressions on Canada’s global presence, and their legacies have enriched lives and communities around the world,” said Jeffrey Latimer, CEO of Canada’s Walk of Fame.
Achievements are celebrated by Canada's Walk of Fame in the fields of arts and entertainment, sports and athletics, entrepreneurship and philanthropy, humanitarianism, and science, technology and innovation.
There are currently over 230 inductions to Canada's Walk of Fame, with the not-for-profit charitable organization being established in 1998.
