I am Allison Smith, founding editor of TorontoToday. Today’s edition of The Stir looks a bit different because we want to let you know that TorontoToday.ca is now live.
Launched this morning, TorontoToday.ca features local news about the city’s downtown that will always be free and accessible to all readers. Our nine-member editorial team has had its nose to the journalistic grindstone to stack the site with original reporting — and there is much more to come.
I've called Toronto home for 16 years and am thrilled to turn my journalistic eye on the city. There is so much that goes unreported in our community and TorontoToday is going to change that.
Starting tomorrow, The Stir newsletter will arrive at 7 a.m. and feature the latest news from TorontoToday.ca. You’ll also receive The Tone at 3 p.m., chock-full of afternoon updates.
